Process and Journey

Complexity and detail are central to my work. They come through a long history of layers. What looks like one painting may have had several lives by the time I call it complete. Equal parts chaos (paint splatter, knife-work, emotional upheaval) and methodical pattern making, they clash and compete and fall out of balance in layer after layer of paint and pencil until there is a beating heart.
